Hello! I'm going to post some pictures of my G1 boxed collection, a collection that began in 1984. I was three, so I'm sure that my parents are the ones through whom the collection really began...I got to play with them, I took care of them, and I still have them and love them, so I'm grateful!
That being said, my young children are playing with some of my more recent (2000 and onward) collection, so they can be introduced to the magic of Transformers... we're not saving any boxes this time around
I'll start with my absolute favorites, then move forward as time allows, one
and one
per day. I wish I had a way to display them. I'm thinking about acquiring acrylic cases for some of my favorites that are in good condition. Any feedback on that front, or any other, is appreciated!
1. Soundwave - Still love everything about him as an adult. Sentimental factor: 10+
2. Jetfire - Privileged to have this in my collection! The first one I had broke because I played with it so much (my 2-year old loves flying that one around!) and a relative bought me a second as a gift but I didn't play with it much, which is why this is in such great shape.
3. Megatron - Also played the heck out of this one.
4. Bluestreak - Only one that's still MISB!
5. Sixshot - beloved gift from an uncle who passed away last year
6. Omega Supreme - Another gift, from a family friend who was a college student at the time. My parents were a second family for him while he was away from home.
7. Starscream - Really should have been higher up, because this is my 2nd sentimental favorite behind Soundwave. I had to use an old picture before I flipped the bubble insert around the correct way
8. Powermaster Optimus Prime - Kids have been playing with this guy, still fun for me 30 years on!
9. Slugfest & Overkill - Not sure how these stayed in the package...
10. Skylynx - Motorized features made this guy an oft-played with favorite
11. Onslaught - My gestalts are sadly incomplete

14. Fortress Maximus - ...but Headmasters were better!

17. Gnaw - Haven't seen this movie since the theater...for reasons that don't make sense since I'm not 6 years old anymore
