Talking about eBay, my issue came from buying an item from a seller on eBay. The seller whom i wont mention is well know for selling vintage toy items. In this case, i recently purchase Armada Galvatron. It was a good price, only missing his minicon. When i got him out of the box and was inspecting him, i opened up the right side pane and literally his arm fell out. At first, i notified the seller of the issue and it was blamed on QC of whomever goes through the inventory they buy and ensure it is described correctly before selling it.
After some thought and looking at other prices on eBay, i decided to keep him and try to repair the arm. I got lucky and was able to repair the arm. For my purpose it works but still a bad deal.
Unfortunately, i have chosen not to buy anything from this seller. As bad as it sounds, this is the third time i have received an item from them that had an issue. I will say in both previous incidents, the seller made up for it and sent a like item that was in good condition. They at least did the right thing and very appreciative of that. Im not really beating them up for that but more so stating what had happened.
It goes to show you, people can overlook items that are bought from individuals in hopes they are good to go and fail to inspect them properly. But in the end, people do shady stuff like try to super glue pieces and it gets overlooked.
Be aware!
