Hi,
I've been wandering here for some weeks, I think it's time to share my collection.

First of all, please excuse my potential mistakes/errors on my sentences, english is not my native langage.

I had some transformers in my childhood, but I started really collecting as an adult, at the begining of Energon's area. So strangely, contrary to lot of people, my nostalgic area is armada/energon/Galaxy force, not really the G1 I had quite no memory of outside the few toys I had.

You'll probably notice more Autobots than decepticons. I'm 36y old, but on this, I'm like the 8years old child "I like the good guys better than the bad guys". I know it's absolutely stupid for an adult collector, but I can do nothing against it.


So let's start, with the playroom/friends room :







The VF-1S is one of my old toys. Quite good shape, not even yellowed.



When I started collecting TF and investigating what was existing and I found pictures of this Primal, I was like "no way, I'll never get this thing, it looks stupid in all modes". Now it's one of my faves.. I don't even try to understand.




Some of my faves heres. If not the first one, Galaxy Force Prime is clearly in the top3.
And I like the Landmine mold so much that I have all three repaints, as you can see LandQuake here.




I'm still wondering if I should display the powersurge Prime here.




Some combiners. I didn't feel the need to get CW Bruticus as I'm really happy with the Superlink + Fansproject one.




I've been near completlist for the first movie, but for some reason, I get fed up with movie design, here's more or less the only ones left. (with Revenge of the Fallen Optimus in another room).




Parts of Menasor and Piranacon are from my childhood. I only had two of each team at this time, so I had to wait 20 years to see hem complete.

I'll now lose your respect, but here's you can see one of my most favorite prime. No, not the WFC on front.. The Energon one.
Really, I love him.
I know he's not perfect and has some issues, but I still love him, he's a fun play thing. I love is colors scheme, a bit different than the usual primes (with white, dark blue..).
I Love his truck mode with the trailer.
And once combined with WingSaber, he's just absolutely perfect.

Nothing to add here, lot of magnus and white Primes.




If you've been hesitating to get Legends LioConvoy because you already own Alpha Trion... don't hesitate. He is absolutely fantastic. It's incredible how different color sheme (and quantity of paint) changes a mold.

Ginrai looks a bit small here, I can't wait to get God Bomber..




At this point you probably started to understand how my tastes are weird, so I will not surprise you by telling how I love the Transformers Go! Prime.
Same as Energon's Prime, despite all his problems he is a fun toy, he has an awesome headsculpt on the smaller robot, he has a dragon head as combined mode and two gigantic Cloud-like swords. It easily compensates for a weak dragon mode, a plain train mode and skinny legs when combined.



I still don't understand why I like Longrack so much. As already said, a different paintjob (with a different head) changes a lot of things.




Lot of primes here.
Yes, it's the third repaint of bendy prime you see in my collection. I guess I like him..
The only missing prime in my collection is the original LioConvoy. It's the one I'm currently looking at on ebay.

I also have the original Demolishor and Cyclonus, but I prefer the energon repaints better.

A case only for TR bots. I love this series so much, I don't what wll happens when it ends.
I've not been attached to a line so much since Galaxy force.

Some other random guys. RailRacer unfortunately yellowed (and it's even more sad when you know it's the japanese version). I'm looking parts to restore his whiteness.

I'm missing Hishoumaru and Sensuimaru to have all Transformers Go! Autobots. I have for the moment Kenzan, Jinbu, Ganoh and Gekisomaru.

I'll do separate shoots if you want.

I took the opportunity to have untransformed them to take more pictures.

Nothing to say here, technically it work, maybe just a bit plain.

Then, the second combined mode. I really prefer the first mode, with Dragon head.

Yes, they're far from being perfect. I can excuse that because they're technically 5-changers (Vehicule, robot, head, arms, legs), lot of constraints here.


But I love their headsculpts.

I had no idea the play value these guys had

So yes, I like them despite their little flaws.
Also it's nice to have something not related to G1 for once, with completely new characters.

Discussing or unicron trilogy in another thread mades me want to take some pictures of energon toys, especially the deluxes. (and play a little bit with them of course).

I like them a lot. Individually they're not perfect and have lot of flaws, but their combining gimmick mades them great toys with lot of play value.

Let start with my most recent additions to these series :


SL Fire Convoy :
While we nowadays have lot of repaints, for Energon Prime there's was quite nothing, so I jumped on the few existing.





Next, Hotshot Fire :




For those who don't know, Takara's version of Hotshot has a slightly different head compared to the Energon one. Very small difference but it really changes a lot, it looks less alien than the energon one, more friendly.




Let's go on the fun part : combined mode :


Optimus + Rodimus. Probably the most badass, it's even in the name.




DownShift + Prowl.




Hotshot + Roadblock : Probably the weakest one, hostshot works better as legs and Inferno/Roadblock as arms.




Checkpoint + Prowl. I love the combination Rodimus+Prowl, but as I usually have Rodimus merged with optimus, I got this repaint in order to have a combined version of Rodimus and Prowl always up.



Inferno + Hotshot.
Probably the best combo, inferno works wall as arms and Hotshot as legs, it's the one with the best proportions.





Finally, a group shoot :

Why did you call Roadblock/Inferno Volt "Roadbuster?" Roadbuster is what Energon Ironhide was called in Japan.

I've got the Black Rodimus and Fire Convoy set, they're really nice. Are you hunting down BR to complete the set?

There were some Powerlinx'ers that did it really well, but most of them were unimpressive. Prowl was one of the standout figures though, and I'm totally jealous of your Prowl/Checkpoint set. It was officially put on my hit list a few months ago, just waiting for the right price

Glad to see so much Unicron Trilogoy love. Some of the best TF toys out there, and when I say toys, I mean toys. Not high end collectibles.

I really like the GO! stuff too. The weirder Takara gets, the more I like it. Have you ever heard of Web Diver or Diagunder. Some really strange and wonderful transforming robot designs in those Takara lines.

Did I read somewhere else that you're into Microman?

Oh, also, the room in the house with the computer is most commonly called an office, or study. I call mine the studio, because art gets made there.

I probably told it one hundred times since I registered here, but they're definitely my faves.
The only series which were able to motivate me so much since then is the new Titans returns line.

In fact I've been a bit "dormant" since the end of Cybertron. I was a very active member of French forums at this time. I was leading news on Generations/classics and most of recents TF, but hates in french forum towards everything which is not G1 made everything complicated, and a bit unmotivational. (Yeah, FR fandom is... what it is..)
So I continued collecting, on my side, sharing with nobody, tired of "It's not G1 or masterpiece, so it's garbage".

But Titans return hyped me so much that I wanted to share again, so I migrated here, which is more friendly toward recent TF (understand : everything which happened starting beastwars).

Yeah, but a bit to weird for me. At least for now.
As you saw, I have mainly Autobots, if I psychanalyze myself, I think I'm in quest of heroes, models etc, and the cartoon/caricatural looks of these turns me a bit of.
Who knows, maybe I'll change and become more mature when I grow up, so one day I'll look at these, I'm only 36

More exactly, "I was", as the line ended and I got all those I wanted, I don't even have search notification in ebay.
I still have all of them, but they're still in boxes since I moved to my new house. If people are interested I'll unpack to take pictures.

I also hesitate to jump in the Takara Diaclone revival. As Amdriver and Microman are not active searches anymore, maybe I can allow myself to jump on a second collection.

I think those guys are great in all their strangeness.
The Combined modes are cool. Can they combine with Prime too?
Does the whole system work kind of like Energon Superlink? I mean just in theory?

Not at all, they're designed on specific ways for each combination, like Railracer. There's no unified port or wathever.
When Gekisoumaru is on top, Hishoumaru is necessary the torso and Sensuimaru necessary the legs.
And I admit I still need the manual to merge them. they're basically a bunch or articulation which needs to be positionned differently depending the transformation.

It's what shown here, the leader of each team, Gekisoumaru (the lion) and Kenzan (the police car) can merge with optimus.
I already had Gekisoumaru, before the other exactly for this reason.

Nothing original, as everybody, I got my GodBomer :




He has his place reserved for months on the shelves



I also received Krok.



I passed on Skullmasher, I didn't like the head at all, but I fell in love with Krok at first sight. I love the neon green and the headsculpt.


I also like the fact Hasbro brings back to life some forgotten transformers (even if it's only a repaint), I'm tired of all the G1 Wave 1 infinte hommaging.

That being said, here's today's newcomers :








On the overall aesthetics, Generations Windblade is better, but for everything else, TR is a better toy, more solid, everyhting holds better...

What are your thoughts on God Ginrai?

Mitigated.

God bomber is not fantastic, but it's not an issue, the G1 was terrible, their only role is to provide armor to Ginrai.

The combined form (god Ginrai) looks fantastic. But it's not extremely stable and parts fall off easily., that's why I'm mitigated at most.
