The Shatterred Glass line is finally revealed by Hasbro. There will be 5 figures for now part of this capsule and the first figure revealed is Blurr.

Discover a universe that shatters everything you know about the Transformers robots…an upside-down world where the bad guys are good, and the good guys are bad. Welcome to Shattered Glass, an alternate universe where the heroic Decepticons battle the evil Autobots. Wait…what?

Fans can explore this topsy-turvy reality with the Transformers Shattered Glass Collection, featuring classic Transformers characters, with a twist!

Given that the only thing stopping me from getting the 86 release was the disconcerting facesculpt, a version with a better head was an instant preorder. Shattered glass is just the icing on the cake.

I preordered this guy, which surprised me because this was the rumored Shattered Glass figure I was least excited for (barring Jetfire, who's an automatic no due to being Commander Class and not liking/wanting the mold). The combo of black and darker blue make this mold look way better to me than the retail version I skipped, I love that they kept his lightning deco, and the eyepatch and borderline Joker smile really sell the head sculpt for me. I'm more excited to see Goldbug, Megatron, and Screamer now than I was before.

Shame that it seems like those 4 I mentioned above are the only other ones they're making, based off the links/silhouettes on Blurr's page, any chance they mentioned in the stream that they would possibly make more characters than just those? I'd love the chance to get a Sir Soundwave, Grimlock, Wheeljack, and Sideswipe, and I thought there was a rumor floating around about Hot Rod getting some variety of black repaint that people were assuming was an SG repaint.

Looks good. It's odd, for me, that the line (IMO) that would benefit the most from cr@pple-damage paint apps would be SG, over the regular line (using Optimus Prime's broken chest as the inspiration). The damage could help sell the idea of a "shattered" or "damaged" universe, at least to me.

Well ... I guess Starscream and Ramjet are no brainers. Jeez, Rammy's getting so many repaints and I haven't even got the originals from Amazon yet!

I wonder how they'll do Megatron. The original has much more in common with Galvatron. But where does that leave Galvy? Will the just paint Siege Megatron purple and give him a new head?

The impression I'm getting is that this is a "new" shattered glass continuity, where altmodes largely match up with their originals.

I don't either, which is why I haven't said anything. Some fans enjoy them and I'm glad they're getting what they like. I wish we all did.

I could go for that. Followed by a proper Straxus and Thunderwing. Or how about comic-scaled Maximus and Scorponok?

But anyway, this is the new SG thread, so SG should be discussed. With all the repaints the Siege Megatron has gotten, I'd love to see a red, white and blue SG version. :lol:

i have never really cared about SG
but i bought the selects SG prime and ratchet and thought they were cool for a one off set
but now that i hear there's an SG line coming as long as it a small group of characters hopefully no bigger than a dozen
i might just try to acquire them
i think it would make for a cool display with the regular vs SG standing opposite of each other :-?

Aha, so the Energon Megatron parts exist after all! Either the leakers got the base figure wrong, or these were switched out from the Kingdom Galvatron mold. I wonder if there might be any leftover compatibility.
