HOOKS of
Corvusonline.net has posted some interesting information, which at this time is just rumor. According to Hooks IDW will be reprinting Target: 2006 under the Generations title. Also the covers will be done by Nick Roche and Josh Burcham. As for now this is just a rumor. If you want to know more about Target: 2006 then check out
Seibertron.com's Vector Sigma Database.
Update:
It looks like this rumor is no longer a rumor but a fact! Our own Josh has dropped by to confirm this with quotes from Chris Ryall.
The first one:
Quote (Ford DeceptiFocus @ Dec. 24 2006,2:02)
Curious--why is Generations getting new numbering after #12 & how will this be done and why?
Ryall: We're going to be reprinting all of Target: 2006 next, so we thought we'd start fresh with those.
And the Second:
Quote (UltraPrime @ Dec. 26 2006,6:05)
How will the Target: 2006 reprints work? I mean, the UK stories were half-size (the US strips were split over two weeks for those not in the know). Target: 2006 was an odd-number of parts, so just putting 2 stories in one issue will leave an odd part.
Ryall: We're gonna do three parts, ad-free, in the final issue.

IDW Publishing has released a press release regarding the upcoming four part comic prequel to the upcoming live action movie! Due for release in February 07, it will deal with the events leading up to the movie, and will written by Chris Ryall and Simon Furman, with art by Don Figueroa.
TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE PREQUEL
THEIR WAR. THEIR WORLD. OUR COMICS.
TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE PREQUEL Comic Books Kick Off The Blockbuster Event of '07!
San Diego, CA (December 20, 2006)- IDW Publishing's TRANSFORMERS' universe has spanned from modern-day Earth (The Transformers: Infiltration and Escalation) to the far-flung planet of CYBERTRON (The Transformers: Stormbringer) and many light-years of time and space in-between. Now get ready for an all-new TRANSFORMERS story that breaks new ground, setting the stage for the highly anticipated summer '07 blockbuster TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE. And while the movie might not explode onto theater screens until July, IDW Publishing offers your first glimpse of the live-action motion picture ROBOTS IN DISGUISE in the TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE PREQUEL beginning in February 2007.
In the four-part TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE PREQUEL, co-writers Chris Ryall (Zombies Vs. Robots) and Simon Furman (The Transformers: Escalation) team up with celebrated TRANSFORMERS artist Don Figueroa (The Transformers: Stormbringer) to deliver a special tale that spans centuries, travelingg from CYBERTRON to Earth. This special four-part series reveals the events that lead up to next Summer's blockbuster movie, directed by Michael Bay and Executive-Produced by Steven Spielberg.
"This is no peripheral movie tie-in," said co-writer Chris Ryall (who also spends his days as IDW's Publisher and Editor-in-Chief. "Rather, it's a fully realized, generations-spanning tale that also sets up and explains much of the backstory in the coming movie. With Paramount and Hasbro's assistance, we're able to show you the characters and explain some situations that are integral parts of the movie. It should also assuage any early fan trepidation and show that this prequel and the movie together are going to comprise quite an epic TRASNFORMERS story."
TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE PREQUEL is an all-new, four-part series that hits shelves in February 2007 with a 32-page full-color comic book.

Chris Ryall of IDW has responded to the rumor about the Transformers and Avengers Crossover in IDW's
forum. When asked about the rumor here is what Ryall posted:
"Among all these crossover rumors, I still like the TF/Alan Moore's Lost Girls rumor the best. of course, I started that one myself at BotCon last year.
JLA or Avengers, though, eh? I like that people are at least shooting for the best teams, and not something like New Warriors or Captain Carrot's Amazing Zoo Crew. Nothing but the best for TF crossover rumors."
When asked, "if there was a crossover would it be with the new infiltration versions or a whole new characters?" Ryall reponded with this:
"Well, it's all speculation at this point."
