So I still like this line and just bought series 3 (last time this topic was posted to we were still on series 1), but I just wanted to point out the nonsense that is Jada's use of "series", a word that doesn't seem to really mean anything to Jada.
Series 1
Series 2
Series 3
Series 1 just gives a choice of vertical and horizontal, series 2 and 3 exclusives just swap a out two carryovers with two repaints, though series 2 at least gives you a new character unless you consider Red Bumblebee a different character.
Also the new molds decline rapidly at wave 3.
Series 1:
New molds 18/18
New characters 18/18
Series 2:
New molds 9/18 - Optimus Prime (axe), Optimus Primal, Beast Megatron, G1 Scorponok, Mirage, Cheetor, Rhinox, Airazor, Battletrap.
New repaints 6/18 (8/18 for exclusive set) - Bumblebee (yellow Cliffjumper), Nemesis Prime, Nova Storm, Acid Storm, Redwing, Soundblaster (plus exclusive set - Cliffjumper [red Bumblebee], Spin-Out)
Recycled figures - 3/18 (1/18 for exclusive set) Wheeljack (both sets), Arcee, Ironhide (retail set only)
Series 3:
New molds 4/18 - Alpha Trion, Galvatron, Tigatron, Waspinator
New repaints 2/18 (4/18 for exclusive set) - Bitstream, Starscream (plus exclusive set - gold Optimus Prime, gold Soundwave)
Recycled figures 12/18 (10/18 for exclusive set) - Optimus Prime (axe), Bumblebee, Megatron, Optimus Primal, Rhinox, Airazor Arcee, Ultra Magnus, Prowl, Soundwave (both sets), Beast Megatron, G1 Scorponok (retail set)
I'm going to guess series 3 is the last one unless this is the money saving series and they come back with lot of new molds in series 4. Series 3 really should have replaced Prowl with Hot Rod since they already added all the other previously made good and evil leaders to that set.
And yes, if you buy the right (or wrong) sets you can end up with three of the same Arcees.
