Soooooo, for Christmas I got three different transformers. (Thanks Mom!) I'll start first with the one that is biggest, then least favorite of smaller ones, and then my favorite.

First up is Highbrow from Titans Return.

Highbrow is my first Titans Return toy. Haha, yeah. I know. I'm behind. He's not the most incredible of figures I would say, but I have a big soft spot for Highbrow as a character.



I do quite like this toy. Feels solid, and is almost voyager-like. He's huge compared to most Thrilling 30 deluxes.



Poseability is alright. His head does get annoying though when trying to move since it pops off easily when twisted. Oh well.



His head sculpt looks awesome though. I am a huge fan of blocky visored faces.



Elf ears.

*cough cough* okay enough of that. Time for trading card talk.



Although most people seem to not give a rat's turd about the cards, I for one actually enjoy them. Even the Combiner Wars ones which are simply for the artwork. I am a big fan of Transformers art though, and these cards are relatively thick and feel good. I guess I am getting a taste of what those bubble gum card collectors feel like. I am sure going to keep em safe.

The Titans Return cards specifically have tech stats on the backs of them. I don't particularly dig Highbrow's though. Highbrow is a genius! He's not supposed to have that low of an intelligence stat!



Anyhow, enough of that. XORT!

He can kinda slap someone. Sorta.

One thing that always annoys me about helicopter toys is that you have to either have the blades constantly rotating to look like they're flying, or just pretend like they are. Kinda ruins the flying effect I think, but that's just me I suppose. That's why I prefer jets.



I love the cockpit. Reminds me a lot of Diaclone toys.



Fits very snugly. I like it.



The back doesn't pose much interesting.





So final thoughts: I like this guy a lot. He's not the most advanced or incredible Transformer out there, but it really has its own charm. I love Highbrow as a character. He's my favorite of the headmasters. I would recommend this as a toy, but especially if you like his "smart guy" personality and/or are looking to complete the G1 Headmasters.

So yeah, this guy was ordered on Amazon. If you want him, you better get him quick because from what I understand, Hasbro has discontinued Titans Return wave one and two figures because of the massive numbers that retailers had ordered for stores. If you are in the U.S., chances are Highbrow will be hitting brick and mortar stores very soon if they haven't already (they have been trying to get rid of wave 1 for a good while). I'd suggest picking up whatever figures from the first two waves you can get your hands on if you want some of them before scalpers buy them in bulk for Ebay, which would be extremely expensive to buy from.

Like I said, if you want him, try to get him soon.

Great pics dude. I too am a fan of visors, I think it is because of Nightbeat and one of my friends made up characters that she draws.

Just an FYI...Highbrow's techspecs are incorrect. They are swapped with Weirdwolf's techspecs. HasTak just copied the error from the G1 techspecs.

Thanks dude! That's also one reason I really like the Constructicons. Mouths and visors look good together I think. Looks suave.

Just a note, I have figured out a base mode for Highbrow that works pretty well. Might post some pics soon.

Woop woop!



I quite enjoy Huffer. He's a fun little guy that fits well in the pocket. And, I think this Optimus mold works well for him. Not perfect, but a great update to Huffer, and perfect size! In fact, I'd go as far as saying I like this better as Huffer than any Optimus due to the size.



This is my first version of the mold to own, and one of the first legends class figures to own. "REALLY?!" you might ask. Well, I have more often been focused on deluxe scale for Transformers. Now that I have a couple legends guys, I actually like the scale!



So about Huffer. He feels good. He has relatively tight joints, and all that. I think the ball joints and such work for this scale. Doesn't annoy me like with deluxes which get loose easily sometimes. I love the color palate that they chose for him. Looks very nice. I also enjoy the silver paint on the arms. Really makes this mold look like Huffer.

For transformation, Huffer also has an extra ab crunch joint.



This means you can get him into some sexy poses.

Nuff of that. TRUCK MODE.



I like it! It's blocky. It really feels like a new Huffer. Especially with the feet sticking up in the back like his G1 self, and unlike G1 Prime. One thing I do miss though are the silver smokestacks. It's aright though.



If you want, you can also remove the roof... things (my mind is blanking. Can't remember the name of those.) This makes it even blockier, and also reveals the hinges for possible smokestack custom parts. Get on it, customizers!

So final thoughts...



I do quite like Huffer. He's a great little figure, and really is fun to play with. I do get annoyed a bit with the lack of a "hood" over his head and feel like the backpack should move up just a BIT more to make that effect. It still looks good though.

I love that Hasbro is now coming out with a bunch of legends scale minibots. I really am hoping to get my hands on a Powerglide, and some others. I really want a GOOD legends scale Cliffjumper though. It needs to happen.

So yeah. I do recommend this guy. If you want to get a Huffer, he is fairly easy to find right now. This guy was ordered from Amazon.com like my other Christmas gifts, and he's fairly easy to track down there. I am not sure about brick and mortar retail anymore because of Titans Return, but who knows.



So yeah. That's about it. Thanks for reading! Next figure up is a bit of a surprise, and I know a lot of people wouldn't even guess it because I say it's my "favorite" of the bunch. You'll be surprised who it is.

OKAY OKAY, before you get your torches and pitchforks out, please hear me out.

I get it. He isn't extremely accurate to Warpath's G1 self. That's not why I love him though. I know he also has a horrible case of hollowness from his backside. That's not why I love him either.



Why do I love him? Because he's SO FUN! With both Huffer and Highbrow, they had transformations that were fairly simple, yet had little parts that annoyingly were hard to do unless they loosened up a bit over time. With Warpath, he was the easiest thing in the world to transform out of packaging. And, he's a tough sucker! He feels so dense for how small he is. Huffer had parts that worried me a bit because of thinness. Warpath FEELS like a thing to throw around. AND, he has reasonable articulation on top of it.

Thank you. The head sculpt really suits him and looks good I think. The paint application is spot on.



TANK, MOOOOOOOODDDDDDEEEEEEE!



This thing is BRILLIANT. I know he has the hands showing and all that. waa. It's a tiny little Warpath tank! It's so adorable, and so KABLAMY!



He has a rotating turret, which is awesome. It's not something they needed to do, yet they did, and it's brilliant.



The back actually looks pretty good. Nothing really showing here.



You can TECHNICALLY lift the turret, but it looks goofy beyond goofy.



WEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!



The bottom is... well, the bottom. BUT, since the back of his robot mode is fairly distant from the ground, it could be relatively easy to make a panel to attach to his back to improve his aesthetic.



So final thoughts...



Although this guy is obviously a Megatron recolor, I absolutely love it. I think these colors work better than Megs', and it works so well.



And I KNOW he has no tank barrel on his chest. That however might be something improvable through some 3d printing shtuffs.



Warpath also works very well if you are into collecting legends Minibots. (Such as Huffer.) I think he works very well in a Minibot collection, although I wouldn't also mind getting the Generations deluxe Warpath as a more cartoon version.

I would highly recommend Warpath just out of sheer fun and play value. Though some might get annoyed with the lack of accuracy or the gaps in the molding, I still think you should get it. He's SO FUN.



So anyway, that's about it. I want to thank you for reading! This is all I'm reviewing for now. These are the three Transformers I got for Christmas, and I'm glad I did!
