New character coming in Season 2.Bounti76 wrote:The changes to Elita are nice (head swivel, no gimmicky arm), but I al wish they'd do a Deluxe Class version of her. The others look pretty nice, though I have zero clue who Aftermath is.

It's the Warrior class mold with her right arm retooled to remove its gimmick, a new swivel for her head, new gun accessories, and (like all of the other Japanese EarthSpark toys) loads of extra paint.chuckdawg1999 wrote:Bounti76 wrote:The changes to Elita are nice (head swivel, no gimmicky arm), but I al wish they'd do a Deluxe Class version of her. Are we sure that's not the Deluxe Elita-1? That looks like an entirely new figure, if not it should be with all the changes.

More than likely not since Hasbro already released their Warrior class version. This is just Takara's version of same figure, modified to better suit the Japanese market.chuckdawg1999 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:It's the Warrior class mold with her right arm retooled to remove its gimmick, a new swivel for her head, new gun accessories, and (like all of the other Japanese EarthSpark toys) loads of extra paint.chuckdawg1999 wrote:Bounti76 wrote:The changes to Elita are nice (head swivel, no gimmicky arm), but I al wish they'd do a Deluxe Class version of her. Dear God, Takara came to play! Do we think it'll be released in the US?

Rumour has it there was an issue with the molding and it couldn't be produced/distributed in its state.
Interestingly, that Cyberverse Deluxe Prowl mold is one of the few Cyberverse Deluxe molds that was only released once and never again.Emerje wrote:william-james88 wrote:Emerje wrote:Since Prowl was cancelled despite the line continuing I have to wonder if that means they weren't satisfied with it and are making a new one that’s so different they couldn't justify calling it the same order.

I wonder if there's any validity to that? Considering the extensive mold work they just demonstrated with this new batch of Elita 1, Jawbreaker and Hashtag I can't imagine there's anything too wrong with the mold they couldn't have fixed.

Nor Soundwave or Starscream either (EarthSpark was the first Japanese release of the Starscream mold).chuckdawg1999 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Interestingly, that Cyberverse Deluxe Prowl mold is one of the few Cyberverse Deluxe molds that was only released once and never again.Emerje wrote:william-james88 wrote:Emerje wrote:Since Prowl was cancelled despite the line continuing I have to wonder if that means they weren't satisfied with it and are making a new one that’s so different they couldn't justify calling it the same order.

And I'm fairly certain Japan didn't get it.

In the meantime, the Warrior class Jawbreaker toy that's currently on store shelves is a pretty neat figure, too, complete with articulation roughly on par with most Deluxes. I got him back when he first came out as I figured the Warrior would be the only toy he'd get.Sowndwave76 wrote:I never thought I'd be interested in Earthspark figures... But I'll be keeping an eye out for Aftermath and Jawbreaker down the road to see if they ever go on sale.
